The Liberal Democrat Vision for Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes Liberal Democrats will create one city of many diverse communities. We strive for a city where every person shares the same rights, responsibilities and opportunities. Thriving public, private and voluntary sectors will work together to deliver the needs and aspirations of our citizens. We will foster a healthy economy, and our green environment will continue to be the envy of other cities. First-rate lifelong education will be accessible to all. Our citizens will live longer, healthier and happier lives. We will combat hate, fear and prejudice so that everyone is free from enslavement by poverty, ignorance or conformity. We will create a city where people want to come and stay to work, study and play in a great place - Milton Keynes.
Earlier this year we consulted you about the Lib Dem Council's pledges to Milton Keynes residents. We wanted to know which are most important to you. Thank you to everyone who replied.
As a result of your feedback we have modified our pledges, so these are
the pledges for this year
The Lib Dem Council will:
-
Keep council tax rises to no more than inflation
-
Reduce anti-social behaviour
-
Improve GCSE results
-
More affordable homes for rent
-
Make MK even cleaner
